Project Overview:
In April 2026, FAW Hongqi’s all-new premium electric SUV made its official debut at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show.

As a key strategic model developed by the Hongqi brand for the premium new energy SUV market, this vehicle combines luxurious design, intelligent technology, and new energy powertrain technology, further expanding the Hongqi brand’s product portfolio in the premium SUV segment.
To enhance driving safety and the driving experience at night and in complex environments, the vehicle is equipped with an infrared night vision system solution provided by VEHIR.
Through infrared thermal imaging technology, it achieves all-weather road environment perception capabilities, further improving the vehicle’s active safety levels and intelligent configuration capabilities.
According to the project plan, the vehicle is expected to officially launch in the second half of 2026.

Project Background and Challenges:
With the rapid development of the new energy off-road vehicle market, users have set higher standards for vehicle safety performance and intelligent driving experiences.
Compared to traditional urban SUVs, off-road vehicles frequently encounter:

Solution:
To address the application requirements of high-end new energy off-road vehicles, VEHIR provides an infrared night vision system solution for the project.
Based on infrared thermal imaging technology, the system generates real-time thermal images by detecting the thermal radiation of targets.
Compared to traditional visible-light solutions, infrared thermal imaging technology does not rely on external light sources and can operate continuously at night and in adverse weather conditions.
By providing real-time perception of the road environment, it offers drivers richer road information and enhanced safety assistance capabilities.
